The show is shown on Fox TV where it was first aired in 2005. The show recorded views of over ten million and was declared the top show based on ratings on television. Change in host

At the start of show, the host was Lauren Sanchez. However, she was later replaced by Cat Deeley. The dancers are judged according to the number of votes they receive from the audience.
