Janet Jackson has been active in the music industry since her time with The Jacksons when her first self-titled studio album debuted in 1982. In early 1986, she released the gold-certified single ?What Have You Done for Me Lately? that charted at number four on the Hot 100. Out of her first ten studio albums, eight have landed among the Top 3 on the Billboard 200. Five of these went multiplatinum while two received platinum and one was certified gold. Through the decades, Jackson has also won numerous awards including thirty three Billboard Music Awards, thirteen Soul Train Music Award, twelve American Music Awards and six Grammy Awards among others.
