He enrolled himself at the Georgia Southern University and he started playing on the University's campus with his band every weekend at various student parties and clubs.
 
Luke's father eventually forced him to move to Nashville to pursue his dreams in 2001. Nashville opened up a whole new world for him and his first success came as a songwriter when he wrote My Honky Tonk History for Travis Tritt. Luke was playing at local clubs there but he soon started to make a name for himself as a new upcoming talent who had huge potential. His hard work and talents finally earned him his first major record deal when he signed a contract with Capitol Records Nashville.
 
Luke Bryan released his first album I'll Stay Me in 2007. The album included two hits Country Man and All My Friends Say. The success of his debut album encouraged him to work even harder and he followed it up with the release of his second album two years later. The title of that album was Doin' My Thing and it included another hit Do I. Another song from the album Rain Is a Good Thing shot straight to the number one spot on the Billboard charts. He followed that up with another number one track Someone Calling You which cemented his reputation as one of the most amazing country music artists in the country. Luke didn't stop there and released his third album Tailgates & Tanlines in 2011 which went straight up to the number one position. His hit single from the album Country Girl (Shake It for Me) debuted on the second spot.
