Kaskade is an American DJ hailing from Chicago city and has been active since his debut back in 2001. Ranked as one of the best DJs in the world, he has worked with many famous artists and churned out hit dozens of singles. Kaskade was born in Northbrook and went on to attend the Glenbrook North High School. After this, he enrolled as a student of the Brigham Young University where he began practicing as a DJ and refined his skills. Following this, he went to Japan where he served in a full time mission for two years with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He finished his mission in 1992 and then went to study at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, also opening a self-owned record music store by the name of Mechanized Records. Looking for a change of scenery, he sought the city of San Francisco. It was here that he began working as an employee for Om Records, a label that would later release his music. At the label, he worked as an A&R assistant, and excelled at it.
 
In 2001, Kaskade debuted into the world of music with a bang, released the hit singles What I Say and Steppin' Out, the latter ranking sixth on the Dance Radio Airplay chart and fifth on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart. It was followed one more single from his debut album that bagged the number one spot on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play, a single titled as Everything. After two more albums, he came out in 2006 and again surprised the world of music with the spectacular Love Mysterious, one of the best house and electronic music albums released that year. Its first single bagged the first spot on the Billboard chart and featured vocalist Sunsun as well as Robbie Rivera and Jay-J. A second single from Love Mysterious ranked eighth on the Billboard chart with a third single ranking ninth. The song was so famous that a remix version was composed by Dirty South, which received a Grammy Award nomination for the Best Remixed Recording.
 
In 2006, Kaskade also signed with Ultra Records. He has worked with many of the best known electronic music artists including deadmau5, released music through his mau5trap label as well. A song with this artist ranked first on the Billboard chart and top spots on the Canadian Hot 100, becoming a crossover hit. Yet another single propelled him to number five on the Billboard Hot Dance Airplay Chart and another song with deadmau5 ended up nearly topping the UK Singles chart and holding the number one position on the Billboard Hot Dance Airplay chart. In 2010, he released a song titled as Dynasty that marked yet another chart-topping hit. This song featured Haley Gibby on vocals and was followed by heavy touring, appearing in music festivals such as the Ultra Music Festival and Coachella Valley Music Festival as a headliner.
