This helped Shlesinger establish herself as one of the best comics in the world. She is now heading out on a national tour and will be performing multiple shows across the United States.

Working On a New Film

Although Iliza Shlesinger is primarily known for her comedic skills but she will soon explore the whole new world of acting. On February 27, 2020, Shlesinger appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and revealed that she has got the part in the film, 'Sepnser Confidential.' The flick will feature Mark Wahlberg as Detective Spencer. During the show, Shlesinger said that she landed the role of Cissy by ignoring the directive of not doing a Boston accent and stated, "one of the lines was, Every day I pray to St. Jude for a reason to leave you,' and I was like, 'You can't not do a Boston accent and invoke the name of St. Jude. I went in and I did the accent and I tanked it."

Following her audition, Iliza Shlesinger started to focus on her stand-up career but then soon, her agent called and notified her that Mark Wahlberg wants to get in touch. At first, she thought that he is going to reject her but then Shlesinger told Kimmel that Wahlberg liked her accent and stated, "So, are you ready to get crazy with us?" This confirmed that she is going to be in the movie. It is scheduled to be released on March 06, 2020.

Unveiled

On November 19, 2019, Netflix premiered Iliza Shlesinger's latest special, 'Unveiled.' It was recorded in Nashville. She has outdone herself in this special and it shows in her performance. She has previously released four successful specials - 'War Paint,' 'Freezing Hot,' 'Confirmed Kills' and 'Elder Millennial.'

Netflix to Debut The Iliza Shlesinger Sketch Show

In October, 2019, it was revealed that Netflix is in talks with Iliza Shlesinger and will be debuting her own series, 'The Iliza Shlesinger Sketch Show' soon. This series is going to be shot in New York in 2020. It will be composed of six episodes and each will be half-hour long in duration. Shlesinger will star and executive produce the show along with David Martin, Kara Baker, Kim Gamble, John Thoday and Richard Allen-Turner. It will be directed by Laura Murphy. This will be Netflix's first female-led sketch comedy show.

The Forever Tour

In November 2020, the comic trailblazer Iliza Shlesinger announced 'The Forever Tour.' She is going to start the tour by performing her first show at the Connor Palace Theatre on March 05, 2020. From there, she will go on to take her trek to cities like Columbus, Indianapolis, Denver, Boise and Phoenix. Shlesinger plans to wrap up the tour on November 21, 2020.
