Ajr Tickets are soaring in demand since the pop band announced the dates of its North American headlining tour. It is in support of the trio’s latest studio album titled "Neotheater."

Formation and Debut

The Met brothers began producing, writing and mixing their own music material during their time together in Manhattan, New York. This led to the formation of AJR in 2005. Soon after they were seen performing covers of famous bands like The Beach Boys and Vampire Weekend in Central Park and Washington Square Park. Australian singer Sia Furler saw one of their videos after which her manager connected the band with Steve Greenberg, former Columbia Records president. Greenberg signed on as the band’s manager and in the year 2013, AJR released their independent single I’m Ready. It reached the 27^th spot on the Billboard’s Mainstream Top 40 chart. The single later appeared on the band’s EP as well as their debut full-length record "Living Room" in 2015.

Contributions

In 2016, AJR treated the fans to the single Weak. It hit the eighth spot on the Billboard Dance Club chart and was certified platinum. Later on, it was included on the trio’s 2017 album "The Click." The record also featured singles such as Drama and Sober Up with rock band Weezer’s Rivers Cuomo. In early 2019 the brothers dropped the bouncy 100 Bad Days single followed by another one in March –Birthday Party. Both these tracks featured on their third LP Neotheater which hit the shelves in April 2019. The collection has rather bubbly songs, light orchestration, crisp hooks and a bit of social commentary as well. The record debuted at the eighth spot on the US Billboard 200. It is their first Top 10 and highest-peaking album so far.

Style & Inspiration

The name of the band AJR is derived from the initials of the three brothers; Adam, Jack and Ryan. Their music style is a blend of elements of dubstep, pop, electronic and doo-wop. The trio draws inspiration from several renowned music acts. These include Frankie Valli, The Beach Boys and The Beatles. Besides, it is also influenced by contemporary hip hop musicians such as Kanye West and Kendrick Lamar.
