In 2004, his song Hey Jose won him his third Independent Music Award in the category of Best R&B/Blues Song. He has taught at the renowned Berklee College of Music of five years as an Associate Professor, and in 1995, he issued an all new record titled Ronnie Earl's Blues Guitar with Soul. The album was really a VHS instructional tape that had to be re-issued in 2005 in a DVD format.

Ronnie Earl artist has also served as a blues instructor at the well-known National Guitar Summer Workshop.  His most popular albums include Now My Soul, Ronnie Earl and Friends, Hope Radio, The Duke Meets Earl, Living in the Light, Play Big Blues and Eye to Eye, among several others. Ronnie Earl tickets are considered to be quite the blues music treat among blues and soul fans.

During his teen years, Ronnie Earl collected soul, jazz, blues and rock records. In 1975 he graduated from the Boston University from where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Education and Special Education, prior to which he was a student of American History in C.W. Post College. While still in college, he got to attend a live performance by the Muddy Waters in Boston at a Jazz Workshop. After watching Waters' performance, he began taking serious interests in playing the guitar that he had already taken up in 1973. Upon graduation his earliest job was at Cambridge's blue club, The Speakeasy where he played as a rhythm guitarist. While performing in Boston's blues scene, he got to travel twice to Chicago by Greyhound Bus, and was introduced though Koko Taylor to the blues scene of Chicago. In a matter of a few years, he traveled to other places like Austin, Texas and New Orleans, where he came across The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Kim Wilson and Jimmie Vaughan. In 1979, Earl entered the swing revival big band, Roomful of Blues as its new lead guitarist.

Ronnie Earl did not play solo until 1986 when he issued his first ever solo album through Black Top Records, with the help of a quartet focusing on characteristic blues instruments. When he left Roomful of Blues, Earl started working on collaborative projects with contemporary artists such as Jimmy Witherspoon, Jimmy Rogers, Earl King, Jerry Portnoy and Ron Levy. By 1988, he was on his way to forming his own band, which he named after the earlier Fender guitar called The Broadcasters. The initial Broadcasters group included drummer Per Hanson, bassist Steve Gomes, harmonica-player Jerry Portnoy and vocalist Darrell Nulisch.

The band released its first album called Soul Searching the same year, which was followed by another record Peace of Mind ten years later. In 1994, they issued another album called Language of the Soul, which featured a different lineup comprising of bassist Rod Carey, drummer Per Hanson, and keyboardist Bruce Katz. Their fourth studio album Color of Love featured additional musicians including keyboardist Gregg Allman and percussionist Marc Quinones. This collaboration brought Earl and his band, an opening performance for the famous Allman Brother Band and another show in Somerville at Johnnie D's where they played with Allman Brothers Band's guitarist Warren Haynes.

The current lineup of Broadcasters comprises of Jimmy Mouradian as bassist, Lorne Entress as drummer and Dave Limina as organist, all of whom began performing together just before the release of their 2003 album Feel Like Going On, which was followed by their studio album called Living in the Light. Ronnie Earl and his band celebrated their twenty year anniversary in 2008, following which they began work on their next album titled Spread the Love, which was released in August 2010.  The artist is to perform another exciting series of shows so hurry and book some cheap Ronnie Earl tickets before they are all hogged.
