Relient K is a rock band which was formed in the year 1998 by a group of four people, two of which are still performing with the band. The band hails from the city of Canton in Ohio. The band was named after the Plymouth car owned by the lead guitarist Matt Hoopes. They are best known for their brand of alternative rock music as well as their experiments with pop punk. The band currently comprises of four members which includes the lead singer Matt Thiessen who is also one of the founding members of the band.
