The alternative rock band Luminoth comprises of four members and is based out of Knoxville. The lineup includes Adam Henry as the vocalist and guitarist, John Springer on bass and vocals, Jason Henry on guitar and Paul McGee as the drummer. Since their formation, they have been performing as a supporting act for numerous bands and have opened massive tours for Drowning Pool, OPIATE - The Audio and Visual Experience of TOOL and also featured in Van's Warped Tour. Luminoth has been part of many festivals as well and showcased their talent at Rockstar Energy Drink Uproar Festival in 2011. Other than this, the quartet has shared the stage with progressive metal bands like Black Tide, Hell or Highwaterand Art of Dying. Now they are ready to set the arena ablaze with 10 Years.
Luminoth have been able to create their unique sound which is difficult to categorize into an alternative subgenre. Each member brings with him a varied music background which includes everything from jazz, punk, metal and classic rock & roll. The band's music is an eclectic mix of thunderous metal drive, fused with superb melodies and harmonies. The quartet shares a great chemistry and when they blend their individual talents, an ingenious sound is produced. Led by the singer Adam Henry, he brings the vocal power into the songs and has the ability to perform with an explosive drive. John Springer is primarily a bassist and he is able to bring a percussive complexity to the compositions. Jason Henry's aggressive guitar strumming brings edginess to Luminoth's music and he's able to create an impenetrable metal sound. Paul McGee has come up with an out-of-the-box drumming style that brings intensity and freshness into their music. All the members gel well with each other and their strong chemistry is a result of long time friendship. Even before the band was officially formed in 2005, the members would hang out with each other and had a great time together.
Luminoth made their entry into the metal music scene with a self-titled album. Their second album hit the shelves in 2011 titled "Cabal". It was a pleasant collection of contemporary progressive rock, a fusion of jazz inspired instrumental sections, studio effects, sideways excursions and extended spacey jams. After three years they came out with their third record "Other Worlds and Allegories" and it showed their musical evolution. The album has been produced by 10 Years' drummer Brian Vodinh and he has given the songs a significant sound. Upgrading the album sonically, he has helped the band smooth some edges that were present in their previous efforts.
The band is quite excited about the From Birth To Burial Tour and is ready to show the fans a great time. They have an energetic stage presence, with each member acting as a kinetic force. Luminoth engage with the audience, urging them to sing along and a lot of head banging is seen while they are performing. So metal heads, don't miss this wonderful opportunity and get your hands on Luminoth tickets to catch a charged up performance by the quartet.
