The unprecedented concert attraction in the music world: a singular quintet of world-class concert pianists, performing on five pianos and various band combinations, dedicated to bringing classical music to the lives of people everywhere.

The 5 Browns are a classical piano musical group consisting of five siblings. Their collection includes mostly classical tunes. In descending order of their age, the Browns are Desirae, Deondra, Gregory, Melody and Ryan.

All five siblings were born in Houston, Texas, where each began piano study at age 3. In 1991, the family moved to Utah, and the children continued private study there. They were the first group of five siblings to attend the music school Juilliard, which they attended simultaneously for five years.

The 5 Browns began the 08-09 season with their second tour of Japan followed by a US tour in support of their latest CD Browns In Blue. Their latest effort features atmospheric classical and jazz-inspired piano music, that propelled these siblings to the top of the nation's classical music charts first in 2005 with The 5 Browns and the next year with No Boundaries.

With Browns In Blue, the 5 Browns extended their individual and collective mastery of the piano and their command of classical collection through a series of emotionally complex works to the jazz-influenced contemporary masterpieces.

THE 5 BROWNS are delivering on their dream to wake up classical music by introducing it to the widest, largest and most excited audience. Summer 2008 performances included Davies Symphony Hall in San Francisco, the Oregon Bach Festival and Ravinia Festival.

Concerts for the 08-09 season includes a tour of Japan, as well as performances throughout the USA. In addition to touring, a book will be released, for Phoenix Books; in early 2009 which The 5 Browns have just finished writing.

The 5 Browns are the sons and daughters of Keith and Lisa Brown from Utah who wanted their children to have music in their lives. Each child at around age 3 showed a clear talent and interest in piano lessons, and piano became their passion while the children were introduced to other instruments.

Playing came naturally to them and as early as age 9 they had each made their debut with a major symphony orchestra-a pay-off for the hours of practice and dedication towards music.

The quintet enjoyed their first wave of critical attention when People magazine dubbed them the Fab Five and at about the same time they were featured on Oprah and 60 Minutes. Soon thereafter, the 5 Browns signed with SONY BMG Masterworks and their success grew with the 2005 release of their debut album. The album was simply titled The 5 Browns. The 5 Browns were one of the top classical artists of the year by the end of 2005.

The 5 Browns present the music by focusing not only on the content, but also through their presentation. You wont see the 5 Browns in tux, tails or formal gowns.

The quintet has garnered extensive coverage from media outlets ranging from The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and The View to The Martha Stewart Show, Public Radios Performance Today, as well as The New York Times, Parade, the Los Angeles Times, the Sunday London Telegraph and The Entertainment Weekly.

All through the quintet's career, the 5 Browns have been bowled over by the audiences enthusiastic responses to their performances. To everyones delight, the Browns have tapped a new audience, playing in schools and civic auditoriums, where the tickets are affordable and families can attend together.

The Browns have discovered that nearly one third of their audience has seldom, if ever, attended a concert of classical music. The autographs and the greetings of the fans in the lobby after each of concert are especially important and rewarding to the quintet.

Audiences in the UK, France and Germany, as well as Japan and Korea have also been dazzled by the 5 Browns who present themselves just as they really are. And audiences, especially the kids, are enthralled when the five perform in concert.

When the 5 Browns sit down to perform on their five grand pianos, a silent signal passes between them. And in an instant they are transformed, from regular kids to musical dynamos.

They invariably stun critics and shatter the preconceptions of those who think classical music intimidating by their flawless precision and steeped passion.
