Details of Yountville and the Ticket Luck value
Incorporated in Napa-California, Yountville gets its name from its founder George Calvert Yount who settled the area in 1836 after moving to California from his native Missouri and getting a grant from the Mexican government. He originally named the town Sebastopol but the name was changed to Yountville shortly after his death. Yountville is best known for its exquisite wines and vineyards. The first of the yards was planted by Yount himself in 1836 and now the Yountville AVA is one of the most revered in the world. It is exclusively well known for its very tannic Cabernet Sauvignon varietal wines that are admired by wine connoisseurs all over the world for its capability of aging well in the bottle. Other wines produced there are Cabernet Franc, Chardonnay, Gewurztraminer, Malbec, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Petite Sirah, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Noir, Sangiovese, Sauvignon Blanc, Syrah and Zinfandel. The Domain Chandon, owned by Moet Chandon is a winery that also offers a restaurant and wine tasting rooms for you to spend some relaxing evenings at.
