West Hampton once was a still and quiet place. The land mainly consisted of farms and it was the main means of income back then, but it was in 1675 when the investments in real estate started to grow, and West Hampton beach became the ideal spot for investment for investors even though the development rate was pretty sluggish.
However, development took a higher pace after when the rail road was constructed in 1870 and gradually due to the increasing volume of visitors, West Hampton beach became a summer resort and those lands that used to be farms once were demolished in order to make resorts and accommodations for the tourists.
And today not just for tourism, West Hampton beach is an ideal spot to live and raise family, since it provides some of the finest facilities to its residents.
