These images are certainly ubiquitous and heart-taking - theres no cliche in the US but Santa Fe that pulls towards you. Get pleasure from them. Also stroll down the narrow streets to explore an area rich with Hispanic culture.

Santa Fe is the capital and the third largest city of the state of New Mexico. According to US Census 2006, the estimated population of the area was 72,056. The city receives warm summers and cool winters. It gets about 2-3 inches/ 50-75 mm of rain per month in summers and about 5 inches/13 cm of snow per month in winters. Santa Fe is also a hub of arts that reflects the multi-cultural spirit of the city.

The town and its suburbs have a dense concentration of city-known artists. People have come over the decades to capture the inner beauty of the landscapes, the flora and the fauna of Santa Fe on canvas.

One of the most famous New Mexico-based artists was Georgia OKeeffe, who spent a portion of her life in Santa Fe. Acknowledging her devotion and services for the area, was built a museum named The Georgia OKeeffe Museum. The museum accommodates the exhibitions of her work and associated artists.

Canyon Road is another place known for a notable number of enchanting attractions for the tourists and locals alike. Today, it has become a cant-missed attraction. Canyon Road is now brimmed with striking art galleries showcasing a wide array of modern Southwestern, typical American and experimental art. It also garners attention from people around the states for possessing older Russian, Taos Masters, and Native American pieces. After New York and Los Angeles, the city of Santa Fe owns the third largest art market in the United States.

Among the popular art items, are the Sculptures including many statues of holy figures like Kateri Tekakwitha, Saint Francis and several others. Since Saint Francis was known for his love and affection for animals thus there are notable numbers of representations of elephants, bulls, crows, livestock and other beasts, all over region.

Some tourists find Santa Fe particularly attractive around the second week of September when the skies are blue and clear and the aspens in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains turn yellow.

Picturesque scenery, a tranquil natural setting, and easy access make Hyde Memorial State Park a popular picnic spot. The park is vegetated with thick stands of herbs, shrubs and evergreens. Since Hyde Memorial State Park is a natural refuge for wildlife, therefore it provides the quiet and cautious visitors with an opportunity to view deer, raccoon, fox, coyote, squirrels, porcupine, and numerous species of birds and butterflies.
