The Farmingdale City, or should we call it by its official name ? The Village of Farmingdale, is situated in southern New York, inside the Town of Oyster Bay in Nassau County, on Long Island, USA. It is about 45 kilometers east of New York City. Farmingdale, the city, having a population of about 8,639 in the current times, initially got settled during 1965 and incorporated as a city in 1904. The very first settler in the area was Thomas Powell. Arriving in 1687, Powell purchased a land of 39 sq. km. in size from three Native American tribes.
