The town is also the home to the physical headquarters of Vail Resorts, although the companys mailing address is Vail, Colorado. The town is also the site of an independent ski manufacturing company - Liberty Skis.

If youre hanging around the lake for the first time, we would recommend you to be aware of the possible dangers there. Do not swim, wade or play in Nottingham Lake. However, fishing is allowed in the summer months with the proper Colorado Fishing License. You can also enjoy ice skating and ice fishing in the winter months.

The Park is located just blocks south of the town center, directly under Bob the Bridge and is 350 feet in length. Avons Whitewater Park offers ample spectator viewing terrace and large flat boulders along the rivers edge for seating.
In addition to these parks, there are many pocket parks located throughout the town as well. These pocket parks give a chance to Avons neighborhoods to enjoy, play, recreate, and gather. Among all the rage pocket parks are the Eaglebend pocket park and the Wildridge pocket park.
