Mark Wills
Born Daryl Mark Williams on August 8, 1973 in Cleveland, Tennessee, he is more commonly known as Mark Wills. Wills was born to Jerry and Shirley Williams who at the time of his birth were living in Cleveland, but later they moved to Blue Ridge, Georgia along with Wills.

In his early ages, Wills was greatly moved by the music of the bands like Bon Jovi, which is why as a teenager he played in several local garage bands. But as Wills grew up to his adult ages his interest drift from rock to the country music.

Wills acquired his first opportunity to flaunt his talent at the age of 17, when he performed in a talent hunt contest held in Marietta, Georgia. Wills earned his exposure and popularity on local level after he won that contest and afterwards he was seen performing at several clubs and pubs in the city.

Later on Mark Wills moved to Atlanta, Georgia and started singing as a demo singer there, and later on he did the same after he moved to Nashville, Tennessee.

While performing in Nashville Mark Wills talent was spotted by two producers of Mercury Records Nashville, Keith Stegall and Carson Chamberlain, who encouraged his talent and helped him, sign his first record deal with Mercury Records.

After being signed by Mercury Records, and headed to studio to record his self titled debut album that was released in 1996 and was produced by Chamberlain and Stegall.

The album peaked at #38 spot on US Country Music Charts and gave out three hits Jacobs Ladder, Places Ive Never Been and High Low and In Between. Jacobs Ladder peaked at #6 spot, while Places Ive Never Been peaked at #5 spot on Billboard Hot Country Songs.

After almost 2 years, Wills came out with his second studio album titled Wish You Were Here that was released on May 5, 1998 by Mercury Records, and like his debut album, this one was also produced by Stegall and Chamberlain.

His second album received critical acclaim and is now considered his most successful album of all times. After being a commercial success, the album received a certified platinum status by RIAA. Wish You Were Here peaked at #8 spot on US Country Music Charts and gave out hits like Shes in Love, I Do (Cherish You), Wish You Were Here and Dont Laugh at Me. All four tracks made it to US Billboard Hot Country Songs chart.

Wish You Were Here was the first number one hit by Mark Wills and his song I Do (Cherish You) was later covered by 98 Degrees. Shes in Love was his last single from the album and it peaked at #7 spot on Billboard Hot Country Songs.

Album also led Wills to his Academy of County Music award win for Top New Male Vocalist along with three other CMA (Country Music Association) nominations.

Wills released the first single, Back at One, from his third studio album Permanently. Single was the cover of 1998 hit song by Brian McKnight, and brought Wills back to Country Music Chart. The album was released in 2000 and peaked at #3 spot in the Country Albums Chart, making it the highest rated album by Mark Wills so far.

The album was entirely produced by Chamberlain this time. Second single of the album was another cover song Almost Doesnt Count by Brandy. I Want to Know (Everything there is to know about you) was the final single from his third album that peaked at #33 spot.

The following year Wills released his fourth studio album titled Loving Every Minute, including the title track that peaked at #18 spot. The album was released on Mercury Nashville and peaked #10 on US Country Charts, while at #93 on US Country Albums Chart.
