Frances Yip is a world famous cantopop singer from Hong Kong, renowned for music that has topped charts and that has led to her winning numerous awards. From the Hong Kong Island in Hong Kong, she has been active in Chinese music since 1969. A pop sensation in what is the world's second biggest nation, her music has been released by the major record label EMI Records with artists such as Cathy Sharon collaborating and playing music with her. This breathtaking cantopop singer has also achieved global fame and receiced number of awards and honors. She was the presenter of the historic British Farewell Ceremony that marked Hong Kong's independence from the British, which took place in 1997 and was watched by more than one hundred and twenty million people in the world, located in eighty different countries of the world. She is also a breast cancer survivor, and thus campaigns for this cause as well.
