The 32 year old artist is of Dominican and African American decent and grew up in Brooklyn. He was still in high school when he started working on building up a musical career. Few kids have that clarity at such an early age and David was one of those rare ones. When he was invited to perform on a live rap show on DJ Clue's radio show, Desert Storm Records Company was so impressed by his talent that he was signed immediately. From then on, Fabolous was a commonly featured artist on DJ Clue mix-tapes of fellow Roc-A-Fella artists. This paved way for his deal with Elektra Records for distribution.

Fabolous released his first album in 2001 under the interesting title of Ghetto Fabolous. It landed straight at number four on Billboard 200 and was a massive hit with over hundred thousand sales in the very first week of its release. "Deny It" is an unforgettable single from this album. So far, he has released 5 highly successful albums. His sixth album is due to be released sometimes during 2010 and is highly anticipated for his fans know he is capable of producing fabulous work.
