Bring It On The Musical is a theater adaptation of the hit Hollywood film by the same title. The music and lyrics have been provided by three composers and writers, Tom Kitt, Amanda Green, and Lin-Manuel Miranda. The book for the musical has been written by Jeff Whitty. The musical strays away from the original story of the film but the principle essence remains the same. It is a story which depicts the world of competitive cheerleading and how the different teams train and perform against their rivals. Bring It On The Musical tickets are now available for the many designated dates and venues.

Bring It On The Musical first premiered in Atlanta, Georgia at the popular "Alliance Theatre" in early 2011. The cast was made up of youthful and talented people that could withhold the nature of the play and still keep it fresh. These were Amanda LaVergne who played the role of Campbell along with Adrienne Warrenas who played Danielle. The character of Randall was played by Nick Blaemire. Other than that, the cast consisted of cheerleading champions and titleholders from all over the United States. This cast continued to test out the show for a few months and by November of 2011, they had booked a tour to play in various cities across the nation including Los Angeles. By July of 2012, they had begun to hold previews to open the show in Broadway. They performed these previews at the "St. James Theatre" and managed to book a few more limited shows and sell some more Bring It On The Musical tickets.

When it premiered in Atlanta, Georgia in January of 2011 for a test, it ran for about two months. The choreographer and director of the show was Andy Blankenbuehler and the set for the entire show was designed by David Korins. The costumes were designed by the talented Andrea Lauer and the sounds and lighting were directed by Brian Ronan and Jason Lyons respectively. Varsity collaborated with the cast and the cheerleading crew of the production to bring forward the elaborate routines.

This was critically well acclaimed and managed to win several awards. It received eight nominations for a Suzi Bass Award and won all the awards for choreography. The sound design was also highly lauded. Because the original film already had a firm following, the theatre production became a fan favorite as well. Bring It On The Musical was also quite successful at the "Atlanta Theatre Fan Awards" and again took home the awards for "Choreography" and "Best Musical".

Bring It On The Musical tickets then began to be sold for the 2011 national tour. The musical was taken to many of the major cities all around the United States, starting with "Ahmanson Theatre" in Los Angeles. The new production also underwent a few changes in the cast. Campbell was now being played by Taylor Louderman in place of Amanda LaVergne and the character of Randall was now being taken on by Jason Gotay instead of Nick Blaemire. Also joining the cast were Neil Haskell of "So You Think You Can Dance" fame. The entire cast organized a celebration for the start off of their tour, holding performances and previews as well. Different cheer squads and dancers were also invited from all over the country. Hannah and Jorge Bernal from the "Glee Project" were also present at the celebrations. The event was also broadcasted live on the "KIIS FM" radio station on JoJo's channel. Once the tour began, it went on to perform at San Francisco, Houston, Toronto and Denver before closing down in December of 2011.

Now the same cast that has been performing at the national tour will be taking on Broadway. The production began to hold previews in July of 2012. They finally managed to book a date and start their New York production. The musical will be making its Broadway debut on the first of August, 2012. Getting Bring It On The Musical tickets for this show will make you the audience of the original Broadway show for this production.

Critics have largely expressed appreciation for the shows, particularly enjoying the dance numbers and the cheerleading routines. The energetic performances by the cast have also been noted and the overall exuberance that the play gives off has also been applauded. Bring It On The Musical is thus definitely a play not to be missed.
