Ruben Studdard Pays Tribute to Luther Vandross in a Series of Concerts
Winner of the second season of American Idol, Ruben Studdard has since then warmed hearts of countless people. His singing style was compared to that of the legend Luther Vandross and in 2018 he released the album “Ruben Sings Luther.” “Ruben Studdard: Ruben Sings Luther – Always & Forever, An Evening of Luther Vandross” began in 2018 and fresh shows have been announced for the 2022 season. Ruben Sings Luther tour dates feature select cities but the R&B, gospel singer continues to add more shows along the way.
On June 24, 2022 “Ruben Studdard: Ruben Sings Luther” will make a stop in El Cajon, CA and Suquamish, WA will host a performance on June 25. There’s also a performance lined up at the Mountain Winery, Saratoga, CA for July 1, 2022. Ruben Studdard: Ruben Sings Luther tickets and other information regarding the events has been made available.
According to Ruben Studdard, his performance is not about impersonating Luther Vandross but more like an interpretation of his music. “Replicating the spirit of one of the most impressive performers who ever lived, fans will see a lot of Ruben too”.
Ruben Studdard tour dates and concert schedule so far includes limited shows, but he’s expected to extend it across the months.
