Jay-Z and Beyoncé on the Run
She’s a certified Diva, he’s lived a Hard Knock Life and together, they seem to be running the world. Fresh off the success of their individual tours, this powerhouse couple has announced a joint world tour for this summer, and fans are beyond thrilled.
Both Beyoncé and Jay-Z are no less than living legends. We all remember when we first saw Destiny’s Child, and Beyoncé caught our eyes and our hearts. And few have forgotten Jay-Z’s four years, four album reign on the number one spot on the charts. No wonder that this year’s collaborative tour ‘On the Run’ is already one of the most talked about events of the summer.
Beyoncé and Jay-Z have both enjoyed massive success in their solo careers. She’s often dubbed as the Queen of Pop and R&B and he is referred to as the Rap Demigod. They have given us some of the industry’s most definitive hits. As a team, their music has inspired, moved and motivated millions.
Whether you’re a fan of R&B and rap or not, you can’t deny the power that they hold and the extraordinary music that they’ve produced over the years. Besides, we’re all a little guilty of cranking up the volume and singing along to Irreplaceable after a bad break up, or mouthing the words to Jay-Z’s Holy Grail, all the while pretending that we’re oh-so-bad-ass.
This year, the announcement of the joint tour comes as a cherry on top of the already enormously delicious double cream fudge cake that we’ve been eating. Beyoncé has just finished her “Mrs. Carter World Tour” and Jay-Z has completed his “Magna Carter World Tour.” Already highly strung on the two massively spectacular tours, we’ve been more than pleasantly surprised as Mr. and Mrs. Carter announce their “On the Run Tour.”
A summer leg for North America has been confirmed, starting from this June and rumors hint at a possible European extension in the fall.
As one of the highest earning celebrities in the industry, Queen B and Magna Carter are household names. They’ve sold out more venues than I can remember names of, and they’ve inspired so many emotions that audiences can’t help but break down into tears and shout out ‘I Love You,’ as the husband and wife duo set the stage on fire.
As individuals, they’re the biggest stars out there. And together, there’s no limit to the power they can bring to a performance. And this is what fans will get to witness on the upcoming tour. Previously, both have made appearances on each other’s tour and the crowds have gone insane. It’s only reasonable then to assume that the joint tour will be nothing short of history in the making. I don’t know about you, but I see fans all set to chase this couple as they prepare to go On the Run.
