Located in the city of Boston Massachusetts, Wang Theatre is home to some of the finest theatrical performances in the surrounding region. The origin of the Wang Theatre goes all the way back to 1925 when the theatre opened its gates for the audience as the Metropolitan Theatre. The architecture of the building came from the architect Clarence Blackall who was also assisted by the architect C. Howard Crane. With the capacity of seating 3,600 people the theatre later took the form of a music hall when it played home to Boston Ballet ever since 1962. As the popularity of the theatre grew, comparatively bigger numbers of audience members gathered to see the performances of the likes of Kirov Ballet, Bolshoi Ballet, Stuttgart Opera, and Metropolitan Opera along with several other renowned artists and movies.

In 1980, the theatre was transformed into a nonprofit center, and along with that transformation, came a new name for the theatre as well which was the Metropolitan Center. Although prior to that time, the number of touring and production companies that the theatre attracted was significantly reduce but as soon as the theatre was turned into a nonprofit center, the numbers regained. The theatre received its present name, which is Wang Theatre, back in 1983 when a generous donation was made to the theatre by Dr. An Wang. Later during the period of 1989 to 1992, another fundraiser was held in which $9.8 Million was raised in order to return the theatre to its original glory. The theatre underwent some extensive overhaul when the job was handed over to an architecture firm Fine Gold Alexander & Associates Inc. Several noticeable changes were made to the interior of the theatre.
