Details of Variety Playhouse and the Ticket Luck value
Situated in the Little Five Points neighborhood of Atlanta, Georgia, United States, Variety Playhouse is a music site guaranteed to provide you with a variety of music acts be it country, folk, bluegrass or world music.
The building has gone through various stages of metamorphosis being a movie theatre in World War II with some music elements that have been converted for use in a music venue.
The venue has been converted for use as a music venue. The venue is built on a land of 0.86 acres and owned by Little Five Points Partnership.
Lucas and Jenkins Theatres a company which managed other Georgia theatres including the Fox in Atlanta, built this venue as a cinema in 1940 by the name Euclid Theatre which ran till 1960 when it was closed down.
Then the building remained unused up till 1983, when it was reinstated as Ellis Cinema by George Ellis, who was an Atlanta actor and cinema operator.
In 1989, the venue was converted into a theatre and named as The Variety Playhouse hosting live performances. However, in 1990 the management changed with a 30 year old concert promoter Steven Harris taking over the affairs who converted it into a success.
Be it jazz or jam bands, acoustic or amped, bluegrass or bossa nova, you can be sure to see the best in musicals at the Variety Playhouse since it has the tag of "Best Concert Value" attached to it.
