Roberts Stadium in Tickets

Roberts Municipal Stadium is a great arena in the town of Evansville in Indiana. The venue has been continuously in use for multiple kinds of recreational activities like the sports, many of the public events, and concerts. Roberts Stadium was built in the year of 1956. It has a seating capacity of over 12,732 persons, with the special feature of four star locker rooms and a press room. The stadium had seen a $16 million dollar renovation in the year of 1990. There are plans construct a whole new arena in downtown, which has been finalized by the authorities in December of 2008. It is co-managed with Mesker Amphitheatre, The Centre, and Victory Theatre.

The sports arena of the Roberts Stadium, mainly for basketball, has the seating capacity for over 12,500 spectators. It is serving as a home ground to the University of Evansville's Purple Aces basketball program. Roberts Stadium had served as the host site for the NCAA College Division, for the period ranging from 1957 to 1977, which is referred to as Division II of Men's Basketball National Championship. It had again hosted the "Elite 8" in the year of 2002. The venue is also serving as a host to many other sports events, including the Great Lakes Valley Conference of NCAA Division II. It has the tradition of holding men's and women's basketball tournaments in earlier days of March of every year. The Roberts Stadium had also served as a host to the 1980 and 1983 Midwestern City Conference, men's basketball conference tournament.

The stadium had offered its grounds to the Evansville Thunder of the Continental Basketball Association, for the period of 1984 to 1986, who were coached in 1984 by legendary Utah Jazz Coach, and University of Evansville alumni Jerry Sloan. Roberts was also home to the Evansville BlueCats of the National Indoor Football League, from 2003 to 2007. The stadium is providing a great value of entertainment to the local audience and the outside visitors.
