Details of Iowa Speedway and the Ticket Luck value
Newton, Iowa"s renowned racing facility, Iowa Speedway broke ground on June 21, 2005 and was opened the following year on September 15, 2006, after the construction cost of $ 70 Million.
Iowa Speedway has the capacity of holding 30,000 crowd members. Iowa Speedway is equipped with asphalt race track that is 60 feet wide with 20 foot apron, 7-8 miles long and is tri-oval in shape.
Track is also equipped with 9,000 on site parking spaces along with a Media and Meeting facility that can hold up to 140 people during driver"s meeting and 200 people during media briefing.
The race track was patterned according to the Richmond International Raceway, where former NASCAR Champion Rusty Wallace had a number of successes.
Some of the major events at the speedway include Iowa Cory Indy 250, which was held there on June 24, 2007 by Indy Racing League.
Iowa Speedway was also home to NASCAR Camping World Truck series, which was held there in 2008 and prior to that it has also been a site for NASCAR Camping World East-West race.
This year, Iowa Speedway will also be hosting NASCAR Nationwide Series apart from hosting Indy Race League"s races for the next three years.
