Hippodrome Performing Arts Centre is offering a long list of exciting events in the months of July, October, November, December and also in the year 2010, which will go from January to June. Hippodrome at France Merrick Performing Arts Centre is situated at Eutaw Street, in downtown, Baltimore, Maryland. The theatre was opened to public for the first time in 1914 and it was a venue for movies and other performances but in 2004, it was renovated and was opened again for Broadway shows as well as other performances. Now the Hippodrome Performing Arts Centre is a part of the France Merrick Performing Arts centre. The building is a world class piece of architecture with fine picture and sound quality and comfortable seating arrangement. The venue can be reached from different directions like, from Towson, from Washington DC, from White marsh/Essex, from Frederick/Ellicott, from Owings/West minister and from Annapolis/Eastern Shore. There is a non profit organization the Hippodrome Foundation Inc. which was formerly known as Baltimore Centre for Performing Arts, Inc. and it was formed to run the Morris A. Mechanic Theatre which was made for Broadway shows. This organization has presents over 220 world class productions and has also taken part in the renovation of Hippodrome Theatre which was reborn in the France Merrick Performing Arts Centre.
