Details of Empire Theatre and the Ticket Luck value
Empire Theatre
The Charline McCombs Empire Theatre is built on land that was devoted to arts since 1879. This theatre was erected by the Turner Verin Association. It was prviously known by the names: Riche's Opera, the Alhambra Theatre, the Houston Street Theatre, and the Empire Opera House. The venue throughout its existence under the different names has been used for vaudeville, silent and talking motion pictures, concerts and live theatre.
Thomas Brady purchased and reopened the theatre in 1890. Brady operated the theatre in the condition that he purchased it in until 1899. By 1913, Brady built the Empire Theatre on its original site. This structure was erected as a European palazzo. Mauran, Russell & Crow of St. Louis were the architects behind this new building. This new structure was considered to be modern at its time. Also, when it was built, it was the largest theatre in San Antonio. It had excellent acoustics, electric fans, an electric lighting system, and stage equipment for vaudeville, stock theatre, and motion pictures. It was fully carpeted and had grand draperies.
Above the canopied entrance of the theatre, there was a copper eagle with its wings spread out. It symbolized a call to patrons to San Antonio's most charming theatres. The walls of this theatre were decorated plaster moldings, free form leaves, maidens, masks, ornamental medallions, and floral detail. These were artistically painted with metallic powders or they were gilded with 23 carat gold leafing.
We built Ticket Luck to provide Empire Theatre and other tickets with a unique plan.
Instead of the usual 20% mark up, we decided to go for a 1-2% mark up. At that margin, we don't spend anything on advertizing. If you are lucky enough to find this site, you would have saved a tidy sum for yourself. We hope that we will be successful through word of mouth instead of a massive banner ad. marketing budget.
Our tiny markup pays for the support, the cost of running the website and the toll free number that we provide. We hope to be modestly successful, without being greedy and want you to benefit from our effort. In turn, we hope that you will
pass on the good word and provide us with referrals.
These Empire Theatre Tickets have been bought by fans, who could not make it to the show. The brokers that we deal with collect the Empire Theatre tickets, and we show you the consolidated version. We do appreciate feedback and whether you want to tell us about Empire Theatre Tickets or about our service and idea we sincerely appreciate it. We hope that you will drop us a line, if you like our service. We would love a testimonial too, and would love it on our site. If we can improve
we would love to know about that as well.
The Empire Theatre Tickets are sent via Fed-EX. The prices are often above face value, but that is how the brokers consolidating the tickets from the Empire Theatrefans get compensated. We do want to mention, that our tickets are likely to go fast, since the prices are unbelievably low. If you are thinking of getting them, you may want to grab them while they are available.
