Originally named Orlando Arena, Amway Arena has garnered worldwide attention for providing a first-class sports and entertainment facility. Besides hosting various world-class sporting and entertainment events, the Arena is also home to the NBA's Orlando Magic, the AFL's Orlando Predators and the Orlando Sharks of the National Indoor Soccer League. With a seating capacity of accommodating a crowd of up to 17,000, the Amway Arena, today, exists as one of Orlando's most recognizable and popular sports and entertainment venues.

One of the finest facilities of its type offers something for everyone! Some of the family-friendly shows featured at the Amway Arena were Disney on Ice, Ringling Bros. and Barnum and Bailey's, Mannheim Steamroller, Blue Man Group and many. Located in downtown Orlando, the indoor Arena is part of the Orlando Centroplex, a sports and entertainment complex. The history of the Amway Arena is not old as it dates back to January 1989, when the state-of-the-art facility opened with an inaugural performance by legendary Bill Cosby. The Venue was designed to comfortably seat everything from 17,000 screaming NBA All-Star Game fans, to a few thousand jazz lovers.

Since its opening, the Amway Arena has hosted scores of such iconic entertainers as Jimmy Buffett, Elton John, Billy Joel, Cher, Neil Diamond, Bruce Springsteen, Aerosmith and a host of other legendary performers. The Arena features first and second level seating, combined with a state-of-the-art retractable stage curtain. This facility allows the Venue maximum flexibility for a diverse range of events and concerts. The Amway Arena's also features the Bob Carr Performing Arts Centre, Tinker Field, the Florida Citrus Bowl, Harry P. Leu Gardens and Mennello Museum. The Amway Arena is owned and operated by the City of Orlando all under the name of "The Orlando Venues".

In addition to playing host to concerts and entertainment events, the Amway Arena also presents the PlayStation Pro event on the Dew Action Sports Tour and the Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Circus each year. In February 2000, the only-of-its-kind arena became known as TD Waterhouse Centre, as part of a naming rights agreement orchestrated by the Orlando Magic. The naming rights contract expired in 2006, hence changing the name of the Arena again to Amway Arena. "It's massive", "it's magnificent" ... what else you want?
