Under My Skin Tickets

Little Shubert Theatre is going to present Under My Skin, a brand new comedy show this summer. Under My Skin's story revolves around three basic things, which we all crave but don't always get; Love, Sex and Health. The comedy show is brought to you by the couple, Prudence Fraser and Robert Sternin, who were behind the famous television series that went by the name of "The Nanny". This new off-Broadway show is going to feature Matt Walton side by side Kerry Butler, taking up the lead roles. The play is a direction of Kirsten Sanderson. Under My Skin narrates the hilarious story of an arrogant, yet very successful businessman named Harrison Baddish, and of a single working mother named Melody Dent. After death, these two are reincarnated into each other's bodies as a result of a spell by a seriously clumsy angel. Result of all this is the old saying, "walk a mile in another man's shoe" taken up to the next level. The two main characters, accidently resurrected into each other's bodies, start experiencing and understanding each other's lives, discovering a whole new perspective of things. This whole tale of unfortunate heavenly event is set against a healthcare firm; whose CEO is Harrison himself. Because of its setting, the play also touches the healthcare industry issues in a light, satirical way.

Under My Skin's cast will be led by Kerry Butler, the famous American theatre star, known for her appearances in plays such as Les Miserables, The Best Man, Rock of Ages, Beauty and the Beast and Catch Me If You Can. Born near Brooklyn, Butler began her acting career at the tender age of three, when she appeared in a few television commercials. According to her, while growing up, she went to see the show Annie, and that was when she realized what she wanted to do with her life. Butler graduated in musical theatre. Eventually, she landed a role in Oklahoma! the play. This was only the beginning; soon she was seen in Disney's stage production of Beauty and the Beast and in the famous Les Miserables.

Leading the cast alongside Kerry Butler in Under My Skin will be Matt Walton. Walton is a successful American stage actor as well as television star. The forty year old star made his off-Broadway debut in New York by landing a role in "Hair", in 1997. His performance in the show led to a number of new and better opportunities, and eventually he was found leading the cast in plays such as Violet, Beirut, Proposals, Grease and Boy's Life. The artist has also appeared in several television series like, As the World Turns, Guiding Light and Rescue Me. He has also appeared in many films such as, All My Children, Loving Leah, Burn After Reading and Armless.

Under My Skin presents to its viewers everything they want to see in a show, from touching sensitive healthcare issues to carefree belly-laughs. Formed by a creative team consisting of accomplished writers, Fraser and Sternin and director Sanderson, with scenic design by none other than Stephen Dobay, this show is the kind that will leave the audience' minds refreshed. Under My Skin began preview performances at the Little Shubert Theatre on April 5^th; however the show will officially open on May 15^th.
