At the moment the city has the third largest population in the state of Maryland. The citizens of Rockville would very soon be getting a musical treat in the form of Sarah Chang when she comes to visit  the city in the coming months for a couple of musical concerts. The Juilliard trained violinist is considered amongst the best violinists from around the world and is most definitely at the top of her game. In 2005 the Yale University in their Sprague Hall dedicated a chair for Sarah Chang's name. when she comes to Rockville the locals would have chance to meet the very talented musician who has had the chance to work with Berlin Philharmonic, Philadelphia Orchestra, New York Philharmonic and has showcased her talent and musical prowess in countries like Germany, England, France , China, Japan and Netherlands.  
 
Another musical genius who would be visiting Rockville very soon is the acclaimed conductor and concert pianist Murray Perahia. He is the winner of three Grammy Awards and won his first Grammy for Best Chamber Music Performance in 1989. Then in 1999 he won the Grammy for the Best Instrumental Soloist Performance for his work on  Bach: English Suites Nos. 1, 3 and 6. He won in the same category again in 2003 for his work on Chopin: Etudes, Opp. 10, 25. More recently he was recognized for his musical genius at the Seventh International Schumann Festival and was awarded the Robert Schumann Society Claudio Arrau Memorial Medal.
 
In addition to seeing some of these outstanding performers the locals of Rockville would also get to experience the art and music of Russia when the Red Star Red Army Chorus and Dance Ensemble returns to America later this year to mark the twentieth anniversary of the tour. The ensemble which comprises of some of the best Russian musicians, classic singers and outstanding ballet performers would be coming with a show which would be a visual treat, complete with great music and an experience not to be missed by anyone. The show itself has been seen by many people around the world and has received rave reviews by all the leading critics.
