Details of Jim Norton and the Ticket Luck value
Have you ever seen a man who is not only a jack but is also a master of all trades? Yes, its Jim Norton. An American stand-up comedian, radio personality, author, and actor, Jim Norton is widely known for his talents.
He has done many shows but the show that propelled him to stardom was The Opie and Anthony Show. Jim Norton decided to become a comedian after seeing Richard Pryor's special Richard Pryor: Live in Concert.
In the 1990s, Norton became a comedian, when comic Jim Florentine helped him receive his first paying stand-up gig. The two lived for several years while they broke into show business.
Jim Norton is famous for such bits as Frunkis, Uncle Paul, Ted, Boardroom Jimmy, Jimcy, and Ramone. After several entertaining guest appearances by himself and along with Andrew Dice Clay, Norton became a regular guest on The Opie and Anthony Show on WNEW in late 1999.
Also on his credit are appearances on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, the Late Show with David Letterman, an HBO stand-up special for the series One Night Stand, his own special Monster Rain, and cameos in the films Spider-Man and Zack and Miri Make a Porno.
After making his move to showbusiness, Jim Norton was signed for the Comedy Central's Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn. It aired four nights per week and lasted for two years. People then saw him appearing on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Late Show with David Letterman, and Jimmy Kimmel Live.
Norton released his first CD entitled Yellow Discipline in 2003 and second Trinkets I Own Made from Gorilla Hands in 2005. That same year, he also came up with his first half an hour long HBO stand-up special, as part of the HBO Stand-up Series One Night Stand.
The following year, Jim Norton landed the role of Rich on the HBO series Lucky Louie. It was a character of a foul-mouthed, perverted, and ill-informed person. In 2007, he appeared with his second HBO stand-up special. He then made a guest apperance on Red Eye w/ Greg Gutfeld on the Fox News Channel.
The mid of following year saw him taping several episodes of The Gong Show with Dave Attell as one of the celebrity judges. Nortons most recent work include The Comedy Central Roast of Bob Saget and hosting a filming of four episodes for an HBO stand-up showcase titled Down and Dirty.
In addition to appearing on programs, hosting shows and doing movies, Jim Norton also frequently tours the country. He performs at the most well-known comedy clubs in the country. The year 2007 saw Norton releasing his first book, entitled Happy Endings: The Tales of a Meaty-Breasted Zilch.
He released second book I Hate Your Guts on November 4, 2008. The book marked its way to #13 on the New York Times Bestseller list. Norton also made an appearance in the film Zack and Miri Make a Porno and had a one-liner cameo in the film Spider-Man.
In 2004, Jim Norton was voted best comedian and breakthrough performer of the year. At present, he is friends with such comedians as Rich Vos, Reverend Bob Levy, Jim Florentine, Otto Petersen, Bill Burr, Colin Quinn, Louis C.K., Robert Kelly, Patrice Oneal, Keith Robinson and Artie Lange.
