Holiday on Ice Tickets

Holiday on Ice shows are a special holiday tradition featuring some of the most professional figure skaters dancing, twisting , turning and spinning on the ice in theatrical backgrounds. Among the most famous ice entertaining shows of the world are Holiday Ice Spectacular presented by Rand Family Entertainment, and Holiday Festival on Ice, both of which are staged across North America. The former's performances center on a short version of beloved tales like The Nutcracker, combined with a short session of purely fascinating ice stunts by world famous skaters whose spins and jumps are simply jaw-dropping. This is followed by a short, Christmas-related segment where Santa's elves bring on the hardest laughter from the crowds. Holiday Festival on Ice features performances by the world's biggest skaters many of whom are Olympic medalists, dance champions and world champions. Their performances incorporate live music and are often aired during holiday season. Holiday on Ice was introduced in the US in 1943 by Ohio-based engineer and builder Emery Gilbert, who made a portable ice rink. He then took his idea of travelling shows to Minneapolis executive Morris Chalfen, who financed the production while George Tyson combined his theatrical background to make such a show possible.

Holiday Festival on Ice features a star-studded lineup including four-time World Champion, Kurt Browning; two-time Olympic medalist, Elvis Stojko; 2010 Olympic medalist and World Silver medalist Joannie Rochette; World Champion and Olympic medalist Jeffrey Buttle; World Champion, Kimmie Meissner; European medalists and seven-time British Dance Champions, Sinead & John Kerr; and Canadian Silver medalist Shawn Sawyer. The creators of the show recently decided to add the new element of bringing in live performances with the skating wonders and announced that the 2013 show would be headlined by Canadian jazz singer Holly Cole. The latter would be singing Christmas music as the skaters twist and turn, and spin and dazzle on the slippery ice floor.

Holiday Ice Spectacular is produced, created and directed by Jeb. K. Rand who has been part of figure skating performances for more than three decades, and has gained considerable prominence as a professional performer as well as a skating director/producer. The show has been choreographed by the US triple gold medalist, Canadian double gold medalist and US International & World Team Member, Billy Chapel.

Their cast comprises of various talented skaters such as principal male soloist Michael Chack whom we all know from his lead performances in the nationally touring Broadway on Ice, Hong Kong's Celebration on Ice, Snoopy's Endless Summer, Disney on Ice world tour and the US Olympic Festival among many other shows.

Other skaters include principal adagio team, Stephanie Kuban and Jonathon Hunt; show narrator and principal 'elf', Joe Gnoffo;  principal elf Candy, Casey Peterson;  comedy and specialty character, Greg Bonin; hula hoops and juggler on ice specialty act Mikhail Panin and Irina Grigorian; Freddy Hernandez, Jered Guzman, Jamie Burns, Ben Blandford, Benita Williams, Rachel Reynolds, Dianna Ramos and Ashleigh Cahn. To make it more exciting, their costumes have been designed by world-renowned mascot and costume design company, Cube Décor Workshop, based in Honk Kong. Since 1995, they have been creating some of the most brilliant award-winning mascots, costumes, props and scenic wagons.

This Holiday on Ice production has been described by the Marietta Daily Journal as 'definite must-see' with the skaters' 'jaw-dropping' athleticism.
