These two were later merged and GRB was founded along with School of Grand Rapids Ballet Company. Soon the company was able to get an abandoned bus garage which was later renovated and transformed into a huge school as well as dance rehearsal facility venue.
Over the years Grand Rapids Ballet has been gradually growing. In 2006 it underwent massive expansion that cost $7.5 million. Currently GRB consists of a number of production and performance artists. Besides classic productions GRB has also designed some of its own ballet shows such as Carnival of the Animals, MOVEMEDIA and Spring Gala – An Evening in Verona.
