One of the most beloved radio and television hosts, Glenn Lee Beck is also an entrepreneur, a political commentator and an author. He was born on 10th February, 1964. He hosts the Glenn Beck Program. It is a talk show which airs throughout the United States of America and has a considerable audience on the Premier Radio Networks. Glenn was born in Everett, Washington in 1964 to William and Mary who used to live in Mountlake Terrace at that time. They moved later to Mount Vernon and established a small business in the form of City Bakery there. Being a part of a Roman Catholic family, religion had a great influence on the little boy and he was sure to grow up and be just as conservative as his father. He went to Immaculate Conception Catholic School in Mount Vernon. This early religious learning left a deep rooted effect on him. By the time he reached 13, he had won a disc jockey competition for the local radio station KBRC. This was his first exposure to live broadcasting.

It was during this time when the unfortunate event of his parent divorce occurred and he had to make the difficult decision of moving to Sumner, Washington with his mother. There, he joined Puyallup school. 2 years later his mother drowned in Tacoma. It was presumably a suicide as per the Coast Guard investigators whereas the police states that she drowned. After this unfortunate chapter of Beck's life, he moved in with his father in Bellingham. In 1982, he graduated from Sehome High School. The suicide of his stepbrother combined with the death of his mother caused Beck severe trauma and he had to use the services of Dr Jack Daniels. When he turned 18, he was already working for KAYK radio station in Provo, Utah but left it for a job at WPGC, Washington. It was here that he met his first wife Claire. His divorce of 1994 had drastic effects on Beck and he sought refuge in drugs and alcohol. While he was trying to recover from drug and alcohol abuse, he was diagnosed with a disease called Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. In 1996, Beck got admission in Yale University for a New Haven radio station program but he dropped out soon after. 1999, Beck married his second wife Tania. They have 2 children together.

Beck's political views have been a controversy per se. He is a conservative who calls himself libertarian and thinks he is fighting for individual rights. He owns a gun and supports gun ownership legalization movement. He also thinks that human activity is not the cause of global warming. Beck has been influenced by Joanna Brooks and his political ideology is heavy shaped by views of W Cleon Skousen. He is a vocal anti communist and is a member of John Birch Society. Beck's foreword for one of Skousen books made it one of the best sellers. He himself is the author of # 1 New York Times bestselling books. The 9-12 Project gave ray of hope to many. It consists of 9 principals and 12 values, which Beck gave on the following day of 11 September Twin Tower attacks. The rally organized by FreedomWorks in 2009 was inspired by the 9-12 Project. He is a celebrity in true sense of the word. He is the publisher of Fusion Magazine and stars a stage show which tours twice the year in the United States of America. On radio, his program The Glenn Beck program first aired on WFLA in 2000. Within 2 years he was taken up by Premiere Radio Networks and his show was aired on 47 stations. When the show moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, it was taken up by WPHT. The show was being aired by 280 radio stations by 2008. It is 4th most popular show in the US with 6 million listeners. In this very year, he joined Fox News Channel where he got his Glenn Beck show. His first guest was Sarah Palin.
