Details of Finding Neverland and the Ticket Luck value
The upcoming musical, Finding Neverland, is scheduled to be staged at the American Repertory Theater. It is based on the play 'The Man Who Was Peter Pan' and follows the relationship between J. M. Barrie – the renowned playwright and the family who became his inspiration to create 'The Boy Who Wouldn't Grow Up'. Starring Jeremy Jordan and Laura Michelle Kelly, this musical is now coming to your city. Get your Finding Neverland tickets and become part of the entertaining theater performance.
The semi-autobiographical musical is based on the namesake film that came out in 2004 and was nominated for several Oscars. The stage adaptation premiered worldwide in September 2012. The plot of the musical focuses on the Scottish writer, Barrie, and his platonic relationship with Sylvia Llewelyn Davies and her sons who inspired the classic Pete Pan story. Packed with sorrow, laughter and surprise, the musical shows Barrie to be dismayed at the less than favorable response his latest production has received.
In his sorrowful state he comes across the widowed Sylvia and her young sons. A platonic but strong friendship develops between Barrie and Sylvia and he proves to be a great friend and surrogate father to her children. Their imaginative ideas give inspiration to Barrie and he creates a play about boys who do not want to grow up. He names one of the boys Peter.
The producer, Charlie Frohman, skeptically agrees to produce Barrie's play despite his belief that the production will not appeal to upper-class Theater fans. The audience on the first night of the play also includes children from a nearby orphanage. The children and adults in the audience show their appreciation for the production, which proves to be a huge success. Sylvia dies shortly afterwards and Barrie finds her will to have him and her mother take care of the children, which he wholeheartedly accepts.
The upcoming production at the ART revolves around a new book by James Graham and features twenty-two new songs by six-time Ivor Novello winner, Gary Barlow. A few songs have also been added from the original composers. The choreography is by the Emmy Award winner, Mia Michaels. Other than Jordan and Kelly, the team of performers also includes Michael McGrath, Carolee Carmello, Alex Drier and Aidan Gemme among others.
With a talented team of actors and an award winning creative crew, the musical promises to be an entertaining experience for theatergoers. Children will appreciate this fairytale as much as the adults are expected to, since they will appreciate the will of never wanting to grow up. One of the songs from this latest production has already been performed by Jennifer Hudson at the Tony Awards ceremony in June 2014.
The production has been announced to open on Broadway in March 2015. Get your Finding Neverland tickets before they sell out and prepare to become part of a memorable theater experience.
