Details of Ducks In A Row and the Ticket Luck value
Starring the Dallas citizens, Oral Fixation is the hottest live storytelling series in Dallas. The series is based on true personal stories performed by a cross section of seven citizens of Dallas. The third season featuring “Ducks in a Row” is scheduled to perform at the Hamon Hall this spring. Get your Ducks in a Row tickets to enjoy this distinctly conceptualized project.
The series is presented by Nicole Stewart who herself is a fifth generation Dallas native. She has been practicing as a professional Pilates instructor for a decade now. Nicole was profiled amongst the 30 Most Interesting People in Dallas in June 2012 as well as awarded with the Best Future Arts Leader 2012 in September 2012 by The Dallas Observer. When Nicole was dumped by her agent, it is then when the seed for Oral Fixation was planted in LA.
Producers of SPARK OFF ROSE encouraged her to visit one of their story telling events that are conducted in Santa Monica every month. Acting upon their suggestion, Nicole went and that is when she developed her connection and amusement with a medium that lets people share true life experiences live on stage. Given her newly developed fondness, Nicole also shared three of her own stories for SPARK. She was taken aback with the fact how strangers can connect by sharing their stories.
Nicole's yearning to connect with the Dallas community and the magic of storytelling is what established Oral Fixation. She started her own series in a very unique manner. The twofold approach that makes it stand out includes one, a very specific theme, based on an idiom in the English language which gives both a literal and figurative definition. Two, the stories are selected and edited by Nicole herself.
The process of selection involves Nicole publishing the themes in advance while asking for suggestions of the people. It is followed by soliciting submissions from the general public. Nicole then picks a series of viewpoints based on age, race, gender, culture and socio-economic class etc. The final step is compiling these bits and pieces into an hour long series. Nicole lines up true stories in such a manner that they provide the audience with shared experiences, poignant memories, courageous exposure and laugh-out loud incredible moments. Come be a part of this unique experience by getting Ducks in a Row tickets.
The increase in popularity of the series demanded an exposure of the story telling to a much larger diverse audience. And that called for a theatre upgrade. After scrutinizing different options, Nicole decided to move to the Hamon Hall. The venue not only has a good seating capacity but also a built in sound and projection system that helps a great deal in enhancing the performance.
The third season of Oral Fixation premieres “Ducks in a Row” at the venue. The concept of the series is based upon the fact that in order to move forward one needs to get their act together so that moving to the next phase of life is smooth and without any issues whatsoever.
Lauren Smart describes the impact of Oral Fixation's series on people in her review. The concept of harmony and diversity experienced in the room is followed by abuzz with warm conversations. The series not only amuses the audience but also inspires them to share their own stories as well. Lauri Valerio writes in her review in the Advocate Magazine that when Nicole was first exposed to the experience of storytelling live in front of a crowd, she was able to understand herself in a better way. She understood the fact that reframing your life as a narrative can be healing for a person. Jamie Laughlin quotes the performance of Oral Fixation in her review in Dallas Observer, which makes the audience “instantly addicted”.
