The WWE Hall of Fame 2013 is around the corner which means it is now time to pay tribute to the people who have played their part in turning professional wrestling into a global phenomenon. These great men and women have carried the torch for years and then passed it on when the time has come to keep the legacy going forward. The time has come to recognize their efforts so grab your WWE Hall of Fame 2013 tickets and be a part of the ceremony live.
The WWE Hall of Fame 2013 is a continuation of what began in the early 1990's, 1993 to be precise. The first ever "WWE Hall of Fame" induction ceremony was held on 1st February, 1993 as a segment on "Monday Night Raw." The late great "Andre the Giant" became the first superstar in history to get his name inducted in the Hall of Fame.
The next two ceremonies took part with the pay per view event King of the Ring. The Hall of Fame induction for the year 1996 took place with Survivor Series. What followed was an eight year break before the Hall of Fame made its comeback in 2004. That year the WWE celebrated the twentieth anniversary of "Wrestlemania," professional wrestling's biggest pay per view. It was a special occasion which was made all the more memorable with a lavish Hall of Fame ceremony a day before the pay per view kicked off.
The WWE Hall of Fame of 2004 was the biggest ceremony till that point in time. Icons like Greg "The Hammer" Valentine, Don Muraco, Big John Studd, Harley Race, Jesse "The Body" Ventura, Junkyard Dog, Sgt. Slaughter, Tito Santana, Bobby "The Brain" Heenan, Pete Rose and "Superstar" Billy Graham earned inductions to the Hall of Fame. That was the start of an event that has been ever present to this very day.
The Hall of Fame has now become one of the most watched events in professional wrestling. The fact it is held every year a day before Wrestlemania just goes to show how important it really is. One hundred and seven of the biggest names in the business from yesteryear have been given the prestigious ring. "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair remains the only wrestler in history to have been inducted twice both as a single competitor and as a member of the legendary The Four Horsemen.
The WWE Hall of Fame 2013 will continue the legacy. The list of people who will get the coveted Hall of Fame ring is about to be finalized. The class of 2013 will once again be held before Wrestlemania in a ceremony befitting the icons being inducted. A galaxy of superstars both past and present will also be attending the event making it an event not to be missed out on. So if you are a wrestling fan then grab your WWE Hall of Fame 2013 tickets and enjoy the company of the people who have made your favorite sport what it is today.
