Details of World Party and the Ticket Luck value
Time for progression to hit stands once again with Karl Wallinger all set to party out and aloud. World Party tickets bring the British pop/alternative rock outfit to stage a live show of their most brilliant collection of music to date, Arkeology. This five CD set has re-launched the band and its music in the most radical form ever.
Karl Wallinger was always the sole reason and the soul behind the formation of this band. His music career began at a West End musical that brought him to the act called The Out. Here onward, Wallinger explore and landed up at bandwagons like Waterboys. But this stop was the last for Wallinger as he had decided to have a party at home…. Hence, World Party, a one-man show began, a Beatlemania inspired ensemble it personified a new generation of funk music. Other names that influenced the party were the rocking Bob Dylan and Neil Young and the popping Prince and Beach Boys. Resultantly the distinct sound of the band was a mixed bag with heavy folk/funk load and R&B/soul trance. More importantly Wallinger created a green eco-friendly image of the band. He continued to carry that lyrically as well wrote thought provoking songs with political and social undertones.
The band’s debut album Private Revolution and single hit Ship of Fools and Private Revolution earned them considerable fanfare. Subsequently it led to the bands first respite that lasted for five years. Wallinger remained subdued until he resurfaced with collaboration with Guy Chambers. Goodbye Jumbo featuring the hit singles Way Down Now and Put the Message in the Box brought the Party back into alternative stream. The alusm was noticed by critics and won a nomination for a Grammy for Best Alternative Music Performance as well.
Thank You World (1991) was pivotal in the band’s career as singles Sunshine and Is It Like Today won commercial success no other album had before. Wallinger decided on expanding the band right away and this is when David Catlin-Birch and Chris Sharrock joined on the Guitars and drums. They jumped onto the bandstand and responsibly helped in crafting the fourth album Bang! The success of this album meant name and fame, which multiplied with the release of the historic Egyptology. Featuring She's The One the success of this monster hit and death of Wallinger’s mother led him to hibernate. He woke up his following after three years with single Here Comes the Future from album Dumbing Up.
The band came back to the play one again in 2006. This time around they focused in channeling their energies on playing live and loud. South by Southwest festival kick stared the band’s touring spell once again. Wallinger joined hands with other artists like Peter Gabriel of Genesis and Steely Dan. These performances allowed the band to tour internationally and win back the long lost love and glory of their special funk.
