As the match was a draw, playoffs were required to determine which team would make it to the final. Udinese stayed in the Second Division till the 1928–29 seasons’ end. For five seasons, Udinese stayed in Serie A almost declaring a historic Scudetto in the 54 - 55 season when the team stood second behind Milan. In the 96 - 97 season, the Udinese qualified for the UEFA Cup.
