Tri-Cities Fever was established in 2005. Representing the metropolitan area in Southern Washington, the Fever has been a successful franchise in the IFL. Initially, the team played for the National Indoor Football League. However, following a few rocky seasons, the ownership change in 2009 led them to the IFL and to success.
To date, the team has won one National Championship, three Conference titles, one Division title and six play-off berths. Their success on the field has led to a loyal fan base, which also boasts of a cheer-leading squad that calls itself the "Fever Dance Team."
The Tri-Cities fever currently plays in the Intense Conference of the Indoor Football League. Conference rivals of the team include the Colorado Ice, the Nebraska Danger and the Wyoming Cavalry. Currently, the team is one of the strongest in the conference and boasts players such as Houston Lillard, Mike Trice, Jackie Chambers and Dejuan Miller. Head Coach, Adam Shackleford is confident that this year, the team will be able to play their way to the finals.
On the other end of the field will be the Wyoming Cavalry, which is all set to gun for the IFL championship. The Cavalry was formed in 2000 as part of the Pacific Conference. Since 2011, the team has played in the Intense Conference in the Indoor Football League and has played in the Mountain West Division.
The team has managed to win one Conference title and nine Playoff Berths. Currently, the team plays in the Casper Events Center as its home stadium and is under the direction of Head Coach, Mike Layton, who is hopeful for a successful season.
This season, the Cavalry heads on to the field with a roster full of talented players. Sam Durley takes on the role of quarter back while Anthony Carter comes on as Running Back. Will Lawrence and Walter Stuller join the team as Offensive Linemen and Samuel Charles and Ricardo Johnson come on as Wide Receivers among other well-trained and motivated players. The line-up is looking to follow in the steps of the League Award winning Cavalry Player, Jasonus Tillary, and fans are determined to see their favorite glide through to the championship.
