Take yourself back in time on a journey to the 1800s, and enjoy a show by one of the greatest composers that ever lived, Giuseppe Verdi. Rigoletto is arguably one of the best chorus operas in the world, and without a doubt, Verdi's greatest creation. With an immensely talented and star studded international cast, the opera is now set to embark on a tour once again. This is a highly anticipated show, and tickets might not stay for long, so if you want to experience this great show live, get your tickets from us right away!

Rigoletto was first performed on March 11, 1851 at Teatro La Fenice, Venice, to a packed and enthusiastic audience. The opera contains three acts, and is widely believed to be the pioneer in opera masterpieces. Francesco Maria Piave wrote the Italian libretto, which was based on a play by Victor Hugo, titled Le roi s'amuse. The music for the opera is composed by Giuseppe Verdi. The opera's UK premiere took place on May 14, 1853 at Covent Garden in London, at what is now known to be the Royal Opera House. In the United States, the opera opened for the first time on February 19, 1855 at the Academy of Music in New York. The cast of the show includes well known opera performers such as Paolo Gavanelli, who plays the lead character of Rigoletto, Raymond Aceto, who appears in the role of the Sparafucile, Laura Claycomb appearing in the role of Gilda, and James Valenti in the character of the Duke of Mantua. The actors have all done an amazing job, and never fail to mesmerize the audience with their each and every word and action.

Rigoletto is placed on the ninth spot on the twenty most performed operas in North America according to Opera America's list. The show has now turned into a staple of the standard operatic repertoire and is popular all over the world, attracting thousands of visitors every time it goes on a tour. With perceptive and powerful staging by David McVicar, the beautiful and vicious clash in a society full of corruption and greed is presented in an enchanting way in this thought provoking piece of art. At the head of the corrupt society is the carefree and womanizing young Duke of Mantua. Rigoletto is a deformed jester in the court of the Duke, who has to fight for survival, playing a difficult game. Entrapped in a net of court matters, Rigoletto suffers through a curse, which results in his daughter getting kidnapped by his master. His only answer to this dilemma seems to be revenge. However, his trusting daughter turns the tale around, and the dark story becomes even darker. Will Rigoletto be able to get his revenge from the master? Join him in this enchanting opera to find out.

The opera includes mesmerizing music, that captivates the audience and keeps them hooked to the story, through all its twists and turns. Some of the famous and tuneful songs that are included in the show are Caro Nome, sung by the elegant and innocent Gilda, La donne a mobile, by the womanizing Duke of Mantua, and in addition to these, the opera includes a marvelous quartet that combines the voices of the singers as the chains of the story entangle. The traditional sound of opera at the time of Verdi included well developed orchestra tunes and rick vocal melodies. In addition to this, Verdi brought enchanting text to the opera, as he was known to be a master of choosing texts. Rigoletto is made up of several Italian opera standards, such as revelry, dancing, party scenes, drinking songs, a brindisi, and many more as well. The plot brings out the vision of the full scale of the emotions of the characters, from despair to elation. Needless to say, the audience never fails to be thrilled by the combination of engrossing action and music that makes up the story.

This awe inspiring opera is gearing up to go on a tour once again. This is a chance you better not miss, as it will surely be an experience to remember. Get yourself to the nearest theater to see this outstanding show with your Rigoletto tickets, and prepare to be enchanted!
