Details of Pacific Classic and the Ticket Luck value
The Pacific Classic event is a spectacular thoroughbred horse race featuring some of the best three year old and above horses in America. This race sees these horses compete with each other over a distance of one and a quarter mile. It takes place each year at the Del Mar Racetrack located at Del Mar within the state of California. It is a Grade 1 Race and has evolved as the race with the one of the largest prizes amongst races involving older horses. It offers a purse that is one million dollars large and has been held each year since 1991 with many thousands booking Pacific Classic tickets to catch this horse race live each year.
The Pacific Classic is a premier event that takes place during the horse racing season. It is one of the foremost racing events in the US and is organized at an equally renowned racing track. This is a seaside venue located to the north of the city of San Diego and often attracts people from all over the US, within California and without. Many notable events in the world of horse racing have taken place during this competition. In 1996, for example, Citation’s record of sixteen straight wins was nearly broken by champion cigar but was then upset when a new champion, Dare And Go, emerged with jockey Alex Solis at the reins.
Julie Krone, an inductee of the Hall of Fame, became the first female jockey to win the Pacific Classic and go home with a million dollars while riding Candy Rice, a horse owned by Jenny and Sid Craig. Not only did she manage to make a new record, she also did it in record time with just forty nine seconds short of two hours. In 2007, the traditional horse track was exchanged for a synthetic Polytrack with Student Council winning the race that year under able veteran jockey, Richard Migliore.
The Pacific Classic is also part of the Breeders’ Cup Challenge in which the winner of the race automatically qualifies for the Breeders’ Cup Classic held each year at Oak Tree and one of the greatest cups in horse racing. Female jockey Julie Krone holds the record for the shortest time lap at forty nine seconds short of two hours. The record for the most wins is held by three horses; Tinners Way, Richard’s Kid and Skimming. The owner with the most wins is Juddmonte Farms at four wins in 1994, 1995, 2000 and 2001. Garret K Gomez is the jockey with most wins, at four whereas Robery J Frankel is the trainer with most wins at six.
The first ever race was won by horse Best Pal with jockey Pat Valenzuela. It was owned by Golden Eagle Farm and trained by Gary F Jones. The current champion is Acclamation, also under jockey Pat Valenzuela, and trained by Donald Warren. With one of the largest purses today, at one million dollars, this is one horse race that should definitely be seen live through Pacific Classic tickets for an experience that is truly unforgettable.
