Details of Miami Marlins and the Ticket Luck value
The home of baseball greats like Mike Piazza, Andre Dawson, Gary Sheffield, Cody Ross, Juan Pierre, Luis Castillo, and many others, the Miami Marlins are one of the best professional baseball teams ever! Members of the Eastern Division of National League of Major League Baseball (MLB), the team has won the World Series twice. Wearing the white, yellow, blue, orange and black color uniform, the Marlins are named after a fish species, and also hold the honor of being first in having a team of cheerleaders in MLB. They are appropriately called, The Marlins Mermaids.
The Miami Marlins, as the name suggests are based in Miami Florida, and were formed in 1993 as part of an expansion franchise. The teamed is owned by David Samson and Jeffrey Loria. Michael Hill is the general manager of the team and Ozzie Guillen is the manager. The Marlins, under this winning management, has won two World Series Titles. In addition, they have also won National League Pennants, twice. They are also one of the few teams which have taken the minimum time to win World Series after their inception. For the Marlins it took only 4 years to win their first World Series Title. After winning the most prestigious title in MLB, it took them only 6 more years to win the prestigious title again.
The 2003 season was particularly memorable as the Miami Marlins did not have a very promising start. They had recently fired Jeff Torborg, their manager for Jack McKeon. Furthermore, they had also traded Adrian Gonzalez, their number one pick for Ugueth Urbina. With its changing line up, however the team was bolstered by rookies Miguel Cabrera and Dontrelle Willis. It was a bit unpredictable whether the team would make it to the playoffs or not, however once they had, the Marlins played like a whole different team. Needless to say winning the World Series was easy after getting back into their rhythm! With the 2003 win, McKeon became the oldest manager to ever win World Series.
Till 2011, the Miami Marlins had been playing their home games at the Sun Life Stadium. It had some of the best state-of-the-art facilities installed in it. The Miami Marlins tickets therefore always sold out like hot cakes! However, the team’s management and owners had always wanted a brand new stadium for an ever expanding franchise in terms of popularity and prestige. To this end, they entered into talks with the city of Miami and commissioners of Miami-Dade County. As a result, it was decided that a new ballpark would stand on the site of the old Miami Orange Bowl. This new ballpark is being built with a hefty amount of $515 million and would be called, Marlins Park, for now.
If you are one true baseball fan, you would not miss out on any of the Marlins games! They are the best and they play the best games! As they move into their new home, you must buy your Miami Marlins tickets now to enjoy a ballgame like never before!
