The current head coach of the Wranglers is Mike Madill. Madill is also the general manager of the franchise. Madill is a Canadian born, former ice hockey player who used to play as a defenseman for the Wranglers. Glen Gulutzan was the previous coach, before Madill was signed on. The Wranglers have a longstanding rivalry with the Alaska Aces, which began in 2005. Both teams have consistently put up competitive shows, to earn a spot in the Kelly Cup. In 2009, during one of their games, the heated atmosphere resulted in a full brawl between the two teams. The brawl ignited after two players from the opposing teams collided and Chris Ferraro of the Wranglers had a broken leg. In their subsequent games, multiple skirmishes have often sparked.
The Las Vegas Wranglers play all their home games in the Orleans Arena, located in Paradise, Nevada. The venue is a multi-purpose arena, which can seat up to nine thousand five hundred people. The initial logo of the Wranglers, after their inclusion in the ECHL, showed a cowboy riding a bull with an ice hockey stick raised over his head. They changed their logo in 2012, which features a cowboy head wearing a, black and gray cowboy hat and a goalie shield to cover his face. Colors which feature on their jerseys are red, black, white and grey. The Wranglers mascot is "The Duke". The Duke is a seven foot green bull and supports a friendly expression.
