Freestyle Motocross is a branch of the Motocross bike racing event. In this variation, the off road motorbike riders' main goal is to perform impressive jumps and elaborate stunts in order to gain points from the judges. This year, the Nuclear Cowboyz will provide a spectacular spectacle of synchronized motorbike tricks and jumps. To get a chance to see this in action, get Freestyle Motocross Nuclear Cowboyz tickets.
This variation of the Motocross, too has many types. The first is called the Best Trick, better known as Big Air. In this event, the bikers each get two jumps. These jumps are meant to be higher than sixty feet. This all occurs on a ramp covered in dirt. The judges then mark each jump on the style, the difficulty level of the jump itself, and the originality of the trick. The scores from each module are added up and a score on the scale of 100-point is produced. This is then compared with the score of the remaining riders, with the highest score as the winner. Freestyle Motocross Nuclear Cowboyz riders who perform these tricks include Adam Jones, Ronnie Faisst and Mike Mason.
The second type of the event is Freestyle Motocross. This is a more traditional kind of an event. In this, the riders are supposed to perform two complete motorbike routines on track. These routines can last anywhere between 14 minutes or 90 seconds. The courses are of different lengths and turn at different angles. They also consist of several jumps, all of different lengths. Generally, the track is spread over an area of 2 acres. Here too, the judges are interested in looking for the level of difficulty and the amount of creativity that the riders have put into their tricks over the course of the two laps. This year, Freestyle Motocross Nuclear Cowboyz tickets will be sold for the Tacoma Dome in Tacoma, WA and at the Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario, CA.
Typically there are many Freestyle Motocross events that take place around the country. Some of them include 'Night of the Jumps', 'Red Bull X-Fighters', 'Big-X', 'the X-Games', 'Moto-X Freestyle National Championship', 'Gravity Games' and 'Dew Action Sports Tour'. The traditional style of Freestyle Motocross consisted of bikers "freeriding" across the course, without any structure, performing usual jumps and looking to land on the sand dunes. This freestyle riding would give them more chances to properly showcase their talent, and they were able to perfect their tricks and difficult jumps. These events still take place at the Glamis Dunes in the beautiful state of California and in Cainville, Utah.
Freestyle Motocross Nuclear Cowboyz riders use special motorbikes that have been modified to weigh less and improve performance for the tracks and ramps in the motocross courses. Bike handles are shortened to perform some tricks and extra bars are sometimes attached to aid in the more difficult back-flips. Freestyle Motocross is an exciting, adventurous motorbike sport to watch. Witnessing riders flip in the air with their bikes is an experience one of few.
