In Professional Golf the 17th hole, a par 3 of the Warwick Golf Course is considered to be one of the rowdiest galleries. The 17th hole is also famous for being one of the largest outdoor cocktail parties. The addition of LaCrosse landing area at 17th hole has increased the excitement of this place. Buick Open was one the regular tournament of PGA Tour and was one of the official money events. The purse of Buick Open 2009 was $5.1million with the winning prize of $918,000. The PGA Tour continued for 45 weeks and 48 Events including major, regular and WGC tournaments.

This Premier Golf Tournament of Michigan was believed to be concluding in the year of 2009 due to the end of its sponsorship with General Motors.
