Details of Video Music Awards and the Ticket Luck value
With Madonna’s epic ‘rolling-on-the-floor-in-a-white-dress’ performance on ‘Like A Virgin’ in 1984, the Video Music Awards have only got more famous ever since. Better known as the VMA’s, this award show is usually held in around the September of each year and is aired live from the channel that gave birth to it, MTV. The award presented is very unorthodox looking as compared to awards seen in other famous award shows; the statue is that of an astronaut designed by Manhattan Design.
Usually held in Miami, Las Vegas, Los Angeles or New York City’s Radio City Music Hall, this year the VMA’s will be held at Brooklyn, New York for the very first time. The very famous moon-man statue as the award awaits winners at the Barclay Center for the VMA’s 2013. The choice of venue has increased the hype of the event and very few are aware that the stadium has been partially financed by our very own, Brooklyn native, Jay-Z.
This year, music fans have every reason to book Video Music Awards tickets because this time the 30th anniversary of VMA will be celebrated. Moreover, Brooklyn is a city usually home to talent that has emerged in fields such as sports, music, acting and almost all sorts of other entertainment. This year's VMA’s will definitely pay back Brooklyn with some revenue, especially from hotels and food areas.
But the most exciting part about every VMA is the actual awards. The categories include Video of the Year, Best Male/Female Video and Best New Artist. We also come across genre-related categories like the Best Pop Video, Best Rock Video, Best Hip-Hop Video and Best Electronic Dance Music Video. Technical areas are taken care of by awards such as Best Cinematography in a Video, Best Direction in a Video, Best Art Direction in a Video and Best Special Effects in a Video. VMA also presents an award to those with a worthwhile message behind a video in the form of Best Video with a Message. Other categories include the Video Vanguard Award and Best Choreography in a Video award.
Apart from presenting the Moon-man to winners, the VMA’s shower the viewers with thrilling performances and entertaining hosts that bring out the unexpected on stage. You never know what surprises might be in store but this year fans want Video Music Awards tickets in anticipation of performances from favorites such as Justin Bieber, The Killers, Alicia Keys, Beyonce, Rihanna, Green Day and many others.
Past award performances have never failed to amuse fans and the acts on stage get even better as each year flies by. In the year 2001, Britney Spears put on a real show when she danced with a large cobra on her shoulders. And how could we forget the treadmill routine by OK Go on ‘Here It Goes Again’ in the 2006 VMA’s?
The VMA excitement is not only limited to awards and performances; most also wait for little moments that strike headlines and add spice to the entire concept of the awards show. Like seen in the past, the event has always portrayed entertaining visuals that include Lil’ Kim’s 1999 cut and paste outfit, Madonna’s and Britney’s kiss in 2003, Kanye West’s and Taylor Swift’s little award moment in 2009 or a more recent one like the sight of Lady Gaga’s dress made out of real meat in 2010.
Though MTV has been keeping fans on their feet with little hints through Twitter and Instagram, no one is really sure of the 2013 nominations. We will just have to wait it out and watch for ourselves when the event airs live not only in the USA but in Australia, Canada, UK and a hundred and fifty other countries.
It is quite obvious that the VMA’s never fail to please music fans and this year’s heavy-duty event at Brooklyn will be no exception.
