That Metal Show is known to distill the decades of hard rock and heavy metal music into an hour. The TV show is presented in a talk show on VH1 Classic. Since its premier in 2008, the show features discussions on the past and present of heavy metal and hard rock. The three hosts hold round table discussions, interviews with musicians and a segment on the top-5 debates related to music as well. A prize winning segment, 'Stump the Trunk' is also part of the format in which audiences have to answer trivia questions of host Eddie to gain chances of winning. Hosts and guests also vote and debate on great figures and moments in the history of metal, in 'The Throwdown' segment. All this fun will now be held live in Boston and you can become a part of it.
Eddie Trunk is one of the three regular hosts on the show. He is a music historian, author and radio personality but his main identity still remains as the host of several heavy metal and hard rock themed radio and TV shows. Trunk has always been dedicated to rock and metal. He also remained a loyal Kiss fan in the eighties even when they fell out of fashion. His first exposure to radio came when he discovered a radio show that allowed high school students to work during their summer vacations. Eddie Trunk's first professional experience also came with his employment at his favorite radio station WDHA-FM. Eddie Trunk continues to be a radio host even today, despite his other projects. He began his professional career as a comedian with performances in the New York City comedy clubs. Jim Florentine has had a rather steady rise to fame and success. His performances gradually caught attention of Jimmy Kimmel, Adam Carolla and Eminem, who then hired him to perform at several platforms. Third in the trio of the hosts is Dom Jamieson. He is also a standup comedian as well as member of the acoustic death metal band 'Gunfire-N-Sodomy.'
