After almost eleven years, the show began airing on the Cooking Channel in 2011. The show won numerous accolades throughout its run including a ‘Peabody Award’ and a James Beard Foundation’s ‘Best TV Food Journalism Award’ nomination. After fourteen seasons and over two hundred and fifty episodes, the critically acclaimed show ended in February 2012.
Alton’s next production was the adaptation of Japanese cooking game show ‘Iron Chef’, titled ‘Iron Chef America: Battle of the Masters’. It aired in 2004 and featured Alton as the show’s commentator as well as host.
