These rappers are not new to the mainstream music scene and their hits are always making rounds everywhere. Xzibit's track “We Cakin' Up” featured in Marvel's Thor: The Dark World and several of his tracks have made it to the hit show The Good Wife. Snoop Dogg's tracks have been the talk of the rap town for years now and that has put him in the company of the biggest hip hop starts of his time. The Game started off his career with a bit of help from Dr. Dre and garnered a lot of attention for his debut record The Documentary, which came out in 2005. It was placed at number thirty-five, by Pitchfork Media, on their list of the top fifty records in 2005. He hasn't looked back since.
Xzibit needs no introduction. Known for his hit MTV show Pimp My Ride, he has made his way to the top of the mountain through sheer talent. Before his stint on MTV, Xzibit worked his way up the rap ladder with his music. He is one of the few performers who have worked with a wide variety of artists, from overseas and within the United States. Some of his overseas collaborations have been with Raptile from Germany, the Russian rapper Timati, Pakistani rapper Adil Omar and more.
He has also worked with rap legends Eminem, Timbaland, 50 Cent, Snoop Dogg, Alice Cooper and Dr. Dre. Xzibit has also tried out acting and appeared in a lot of movies, television series and documentaries. He has seven studio albums to his credit, Napalm being his most recent release, after 2006's Full Circle.
The Game followed The Documentary with his second album, Doctor's Advocate, in 2006 and it went straight to the top spot on the Billboard 200 chart in the United States. The R.E.D. Album was his fourth studio album and it shot to the top of the Billboard 200 too. The Game has also tried his hand at acting. He appeared in House Arrest in 2012 and in Street Kings in 2008 most recently.
He has been nominated for a total of eleven awards, which includes two Grammy nominations in 2006, in the “Best Rap Song” category for “Hate It or Love It” (featuring 50 Cent) and in the “Best Rap Performance By a Duo or Group” category for the same collaboration. He has also won Ozone Awards for “Best West Coast Rap Artist” and the “Best West Coast Rap Album” category. The Game has also been nominated for three Billboard Music Awards and two MTV Video Music Awards in his career so far. His latest album titled Jesus Piece is out now and features artists like Lil' Wayne, Chris Brown and Wiz Khalifa.
Then there is Snoop Dogg whose unforgettable first album Doggystyle (1993) sold an estimated one million copies in its first week, which is a huge feat for a new artist. Not only, that but it also shot straight to the number one spot on the Billboard 200 and subsequently went four times platinum in 1994. Snoop has since gone on to come out with one hit after another. He has also won multiple awards and accolades to cement his place among the most famous rappers of all time.
